But royal experts believe Meghan, 39, may have had some influence on his work - and could even write most of the explosive memoir.

The Sun's legendary royal snapper Arthur Edwards said: "It will be interesting to see if his wife Meghan writes most of this book — as she seems to write everything else he puts out almost on a daily basis."

Other experts have shared the same view - with one insider remarking: "A book by Harry, as written by Meghan."

The Royal Family is said to have been blindsided by news Harry had been secretly writing a tell-all book.

He delivered the announcement to his family just moments before it became public - with officials unaware of its existence.

Prince Charles was even said to have been “surprised”.

A spokesman for Harry said he told his family including the Queen about the book only “very recently”.

He has now sparked a "tsunami of fear" in the Royal Family over what secrets he will divulge in the book.

Harry is set to detail his life as a royal, his relationship with Meghan, Megxit and raising their children, Lilibet and Archie.

The book's publisher said it was an “honest” and “intimate” autobiography – sparking fears of more revelations after his Oprah interview with Meghan accused the Royal Family of racism.

In a statement from his £11million mansion in Montecito, California, Harry said: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a first-hand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
