A US sports reporter has been hailed as 'a true pro' after she was hit in the head by a football during a live TV broadcast.
NFL reporter Melissa Stark was standing on the field at London's Wembley stadium ahead of the game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans on Sunday, October 21.
In the middle of her live report for Good Morning Football on the NFL Network, Stark was struck in the back of the head by a ball as the teams were performing warm-ups.
Speaking to the studio moments before she was hit, Stark said: "A lot more energy, a lot more going on in the stadium, fans are trickling in, since the last time we spoke..."
But as the ball slaps against the back of her head, Stark exclaims: "Oh! OK, nothing like live television. I'm OK."
Showing she's the perfect professional, Stark barely flinched and continued her pre-match report.
Later, a colleague commended her saying: "You are such a true pro, you did not even break stride there.
"You are amazing."
Stark later took to Twitter, saying: "Hurts more every time I watch it... Literally NEVER happened in 20 years covering NFL.
"London, I'll never forget you!" she added.
On Twitter, several flocked to praise Stark for her professionalism, as JohnnyJet said she was a "Champ".
Broadcaster Anna-Lyse Gayle said: "Shout out to Melissa Stark for pushing through her report after being hit by a football.
"Such a pro," she added.
Jim Dever said: "True pro. Nice recovery, Melissa Stark!"
While lawyer Salaam Bhatti said: "I knew head injuries were a problem for players, never thought for the reporters!"
But it's not the first time NFL reporters have been caught in the crossfire while on the sidelines.
In October 2012, Stark's colleague Ian Rapoport during a broadcast from Relient Stadium in Houston.
Rapoport tweeted Stark saying: "Well Melissa Stark... I've been there."
