A CAFE owner has been forced to put up a bizarre sign on her microwave - begging drug addicts to stop using it to warm up their urine.

Parul Patel who owns the BP gas station and On The Fly shop in Jacksonville, Florida, said she slapped the sign up because people were using the device every day to heat pee in order to pass drug tests.

The bizarre sign on the microwave at the Jacksonville cafe reads: 'Only for food use. Do not warm urine. Keep microwave clean. Thx'

The orange sign reads: "Only for food use. Do not warm urine. Keep microwave clean. Thx."

She claimed she was forced to put up the warning sign after passing drug users on their way to a nearby test lab would stop at the cafe to heat up their  urine samples in a bid to pass.

Relapsed drug users hoping to pass so-called "pee tests" which are a mandatory part of the probation process have been known to heat other people's "clean" urine sample in a bid to fool testers.

Handing over cold pee at a testing centre, where substance abusers who have recently fallen foul of the law are required to pass urine on command, is a tell-tale sign that another's person's body waste is being used to dupe inspectors.

Ms Patel told : "We got sick and tired of people bringing their urine containers. They’re just random people walking and it’s happening every day.

"They walk in off the street, microwave urine containers then leave."

Parul Patel told local media that she put up the sign after one woman became aggressive and demanded to see a sign that said not to use the the microwave to heat urine

Ms Patel said one woman became "aggressive" after being told not to use the microwave to heat urine, and asked to see a sign that said not to use it for that purpose.

She added: "She started cussing at me. She said, 'Well where is the sign that says you can’t use this for this kind of purpose?'

"That gave me the idea - if that’s what you’re asking me, then I’ll put the sign saying this is only for food use and not to use with your urine or anything else.”'
