The viral giraffe's pregnancy was announced live on TV earlier today in the US
CONGRATULATIONS are in order for April the giraffe as she's set to become a mum again - a year after she gave birth live on Facebook and YouTube to an audience of 1.2million viewers.
The famed 16-year-old's pregnancy was announced on Wednesday live on the Today Show in New York.

April, a resident of Animal Adventure Park in New York, gave birth to son Tajiri in an enclosed pen at the zoo in Harpursville as her labour was streamed online to at least 1.2million people.
After the birth, the mother tenderly licked her calf which began to slowly pick its head up, before standing on its wobbly legs some 45 minutes later.
Now, April's new arrival will be her fifth calf, and her second at the park with Oliver the giraffe, as her pregnancy was announced live on the in the US.
"The results are in and we are having a baby," park owner Jordan Patch told the programme.

Staff at the park had performed tests on April's faeces for one month before the announcement, and while it's unclear whether April's new arrival will be a boy or a girl, there could be a wait to find out.
"The average [gestation period] for a giraffe is 15 months but April likes to go 16, 17, 18, 19 months."
And while the new arrival is a happy event in itself, it's also positive news for the giraffe community.
Patch added: "Every calf counts. Giraffe populations have declined by 40 percent in the past 30 years, so every calf born in a captive management program means something."

A has already been set up for eager viewers to watch April, Oliver and son Tajiri as they await the new calf.
The new arrival is expected in Spring 2019, Patch said.
Last year, the privately owned zoo began livestreaming from April's enclosure in February, with people around the world tuning in daily.
The media attention caused April to shoot to fame, but with so many people waiting so long to see her calf, some claimed the pregnancy was a hoax or April Fool's joke.
