PLANE CRAZY

Dozens of passengers throw up on packed plane hit by powerful winds – and even the pilot almost puked

The high winds on the east coast of the US meant rocky landings had 'pretty much every passenger' reaching for the sick bag - including the pilot

POWERFUL winds and rocky landings had dozens of passengers - and even some pilots - reaching for the sick bags as a storm whipped the north east coast of the US.

One passenger pleaded with would-be travellers to DC to change their flights, saying :"I never want to do that again," while a pilot recorded their descent almost had pilots reaching for the sick bags.

Twitter user My Nguyen pleaded with other passengers to rebook their flights to DC after a rocky landing had passengers reaching for their sick bags

Passenger My Nguyen tweeted: "If you have a flight to DC today, rebook it for tomorrow.

"Just experienced the rockiest landing at [Washington] National, passengers were vomiting.

"Winds were accelerating the plane too fast to touch down, but our amazing pilot Chris on Jet Blue nailed the landing after a failed attempt.

"With that said, I never want to do that again."

She continued: "I was in a cold sweat the entire time. The woman sitting beside me was simultaneously vomiting and having a panic attack."

She later added that the pilot had said they would have to redirect the flight to Richmond if they couldn't make the landing.

"So glad to be one of the ones who made it," she said.
