A WOMAN who disappeared after posting "ready for my date" on Snapchat has been found dead.

The Antelope County Sheriff's Office also confirmed a body had been discovered but said no further details were known at this stage.

The 24-year -old, from Wilber, Nebraska, failed to turn up at work the day after she shared the eerie message and selfie on November 15.

It's understood she had gone to meet a mystery person she met through Tinder the night before.

A message posted today on the Facebook page reads: "It's with heavy hearts that we share this most recent update with you all. Please continue to pray for Sydney and our entire family.

Before she disappeared Sydney shared a selfie on Snapchat with friends.

Her distraught family said her disappearance was  suspicious and feared she may have abducted as cops launched an investigation.

It has emerged she was due to go on a date with another woman after meeting online.

Friends found her car was still parked on the driveway outside her apartment in Lincoln.

Sydney, who worked in a DIY store, also left her cat at home.

Police said there had been no activity in her bank account and her phone had been disabled or turned off.

The mobile was traced to Wilber, which is around 40 miles from her apartment.

Police in Lincoln, Nebraska, said they were looking for two people, 23-year-old Bailey Boswell and her roommate Aubrey Trail, 51, in connection with Sydney's disappearance.

Boswell reportedly admitted she was with Sydney hours before she was reported missing, police said.

US media reported that authorities had named the pair as "persons of interest" in the investigation but added no charges had been filed against them.

"She was planning on coming home that night,"; her mother Susie Loofe told the Lincoln Journal-Star.

Her mobile phone was traced triggering a police search but has since been turned off.

Issuing a heartfelt plea to his daughter, Sydney's dad George said: "Tell her we love her, and we’re waiting for her to come home."
