HEART-STOPPING footage shows the moment brave Ukrainian troops dodge Russian drones on the front lines before one of them is gunned down.
The dramatic video was captured in a BBC documentary that followed soldiers on a mission to protect a vital railway line in Kupyansk.
Titled "Ukraine: Enemy in the Woods", a total of 99 men were tasked with ensuring Russian troops could not take the railway line that connects both countries.
Wearing cameras that captured every part of their terrifying reality, the Ukrainian troops had to run from drones, hide from enemy fire and deal with harsh conditions in the heart of the Kupyansk forest.
The Russians want to take control of a railway line that cuts through this area, to use it as a resupply route in their intended advance towards Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second biggest city.
And this harrowing film by Jamie Roberts captures the bloody reality of life on the front line.

A scene of one of the soldiers being shot, in particular, highlights the grim nature of battle for the men involved.
Trekking through the frozen forest to reach their destination, the group soon encounter a drone that can be clearly heard buzzing overhead.
After being spotted by the flying weapon, they make a dash for safety.
Filmed from the point of view of Vovan, a company commander, he can be heard saying: "Run. It's hovering above us, aiming at us. They're hunting us."

Gunshots can then be heard in the distance in the heartstopping footage.
Having reached what they believe to be safety, one of the men is then shot directly on camera, going down clutching his side, shouting out in pain.
One of the soldiers asks if he's been shot, to which he replies "yes, in the side".
The downed soldier then takes off his glove as he writhes in agony on the floor, revealing a severed finger where a bullet has struck him.
He managed to shimmy to safety, however, as gunshots still ring out nearby.
The men then retreat into their makeshift bunker, a mere foxhole in the freezing woods.
Vovan and his men survive the ordeal, but the horrifying footage provides just a glimpse into the grim reality for these soldiers.
A later clip then shows how the Ukrainian troops operate their own drones.
A damning attack on two Russian soldiers in the Ukrainian wilderness provides an insight into how the machines work.
As the two Russian troops run to safety, the drone drops an explosive in their direction.
The film then cuts to a clip of one of the men lying motionless on the floor, while his other stands over his body before running off.
The documentary provides plenty of distressing footage but it is only a glimpse into the horror these soldiers must endure every single day.

Recent similar footage to the drone attack also shows the brutal moment a suicide drone picks off Vladimir Putin's troops one by one.
The Russian soldiers can be seen crawling out from beneath the shell of a burned-out tank when the kamikaze drones swoop in to the deliver a killer blow.
