POPE Francis' Instagram account has been spotted liking ANOTHER racy photo by an X-rated model.

She shared a screenshot seemingly showing the Pope's verified account liking the post, writing, "The pope liked my picture that means I'm going to heaven."

She quoted the original tweet by @snyyrid, that has gained nearly 350,000 likes, saying, "hey thats me".

Others weren't as enthusiastic about Foxx's afterlife affirmations, demanding the like be removed.

Some were more supportive, as one user wrote: "If it's good enough for the Pope it's certainly good enough for me!"

The 18-year-olds account has since been privatised but she has added to her bio: "@francisus liked my post!"

Her TikTok account also has over 200,000 followers.

The official @francisus account boasts over 7.6 million followers and does not follow any other accounts.

It is the second time in the last few months that someone's finger has slipped and liked a saucy snap on the social media platform.

Eagle-eyed followers spotted the head of the Catholic Church had appeared to like bikini model Natalia Garibotto's picture of her standing nextt to a school locker sporting white suspenders.

The 27-year-olds post was promptly un-liked, although she joked: "My mum may hate my a** pics but the Pope be double-tapping,” Barstool Sports reported.

The Vatican said it was asking Instagram for an explanation, insisting, "We can exclude that the 'like' came from the Holy See."

Sources close to the Vatican's press office told the that the accounts were "managed by a team of employees".

A Facebook spokesperson said: "This example is from November and isn’t new. There have not been new incidents," while the Vatican is yet to comment on the latest like.

Earlier this year Pope Francis had warned Catholic followers that gossiping is a plague "worse than coronavirus."

He told crowds at the Vatican that gossip threatens to divide the Catholic Church and that the devil is the "biggest gossiper".

This week Tyson Fury revealed how he was supposed to meet the Pope this year, before harsh coronavirus restrictions forced the meeting to be rescheduled.
