A BRIT tourist has died after falling from the seventh floor of a hotel window in Turkey while reportedly trying to get into another room.
The man - identified by friends as Scot Anthony McDowall, 29 - fell to his death from the window of the building in Istanbul.
Stunned onlookers watched in horror as he lost his grip on the window ledge and plunged to the street below.
Turkish Police said Mr McDowall, of Glasgow, had been visiting the city with his American ex-girlfriend and another pal.
Moments before his death, topless Mr McDowall was seen dangling from a window ledge.
Witnesses said he seemed to be trying to edge his way over to the next window.
He then lost his balance and fell out of sight, it's reported.
Officials in Turkey said he died at the scene in Hacimimi Mahallesi Karabas Street, in the Beyoglu district.
A source told the Mr McDowall arrived in Istanbul on September 15 - the same day as his ex, a woman called Estee.
