The fierce storms have engulfed the states of New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania for a second night as authorities issued flood warnings on seven rivers.

A millionaires’ row of coastal homes was left facing EIGHT METRE waves as ferocious winds and rain lashed the coastline threatening to drag the houses into the sea.

One home on Collaroy Beach north of Sydney was pictured having its swimming pool pulled into the sea.

Experts warned there is a “high likelihood of being washed away by large waves”.

The body of a 37-year-old man was found in the Cotter River near capital Canberra on Monday morning.

Police divers later retrieved the bodies of two men who were both washed away inside their cars in separate incidents on New South Wales’ roads.

Fear competition was called off after event leader Justen Allport was rushed to hospital when he was wiped out by a giant wave.

He is described as being in a stable condition.
