Diplo ‘could face criminal charges’ over claim DJ ‘purposely gave woman, 25, an STI and shared revenge porn’
LOS Angeles city officials may bring criminal charges against Diplo, the DJ and songwriter, after police investigated allegations of sexual misconduct by the star - including claims he purposely gave a woman an STI and shared revenge porn.
Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, may be charged for invasion of privacy and intentionally giving someone a sexually transmitted infection, according to .
In a complaint made to the Los Angeles Police Department in October 2020, a 25-year-old woman accuses Pentz, 42, of recording sexually explicit videos of her without her permission.
The complaint also alleges that Diplo shared those videos without the subject’s consent.
Finally, the claimant says that the DJ knowingly infected her with chlamydia.
She of first contacting her and soliciting nude photos when she was a minor, and later "forced himself on her as she tried to fight him off."
It’s not clear if the previous lawsuit is connected to the city attorney’s charges.
According to BuzzFeed, lawyers for Pentz declined to answer detailed questions regarding the allegation, but instead reiterated “the staunch denials of all allegations that they have previously made in public statements and court documents.”
