Girl, 1, fighting for life after ‘hugely traumatic’ tractor trailer crash in Lincolnshire

A ONE-year-old girl has been left in a critical condition after a horror incident involving a vehicle and a trailer in a Lincolnshire village.
Police and ambulance rushed to an address in Wrangle, near Boston, at around 8.15pm last night, Tuesday, July 24.
It was reported to the force that a one-year-old girl had suffered significant injuries.
The girl was taken to Boston Pilgrim hospital by land ambulance before being transferred to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.
She still remains in a critical condition, police said at around 1.30pm today. Wednesday, July 25.
A statement from Lincolnshire Police said: "At 8.15pm last night, Tuesday July 24, we attended an address in Wrangle following a report that a one-year-old child suffered significant injuries following an incident with a vehicle and a trailer."
They continued: "The child was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre where she remains in a critical condition."
Lincolnshire Police are now investigating the circumstances of this incident, but no-one has been arrested.
Chief Superintendent Paul Timmins of Lincolnshire Police tweeted about the "hugely traumatic conditions" at the scene.
"Just been briefed about actions from BostonPoliceUK and LincsARV last night in hugely traumatic conditions... They will be getting support from LincsPoliceRev and counselling services. Policing is more than just crime," he said.
A statement from East Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 20:16 on 24 July to an incident in Wrangle, Boston.
"The caller reported a road traffic collision involving one patient. We sent a LIVES paramedic, a responder doctor, a paramedic on a fast response vehicle, a double crewed ambulance and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
"One patient was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital by land ambulance.”
