Multi-million pound mansions belonging to chiefs of failed construction firm Carillion revealed
The construction giant collapsed last month leaving 930 employees out of work
THE riches of chiefs at collapsed construction giant Carillion, including mansions worth more than £8million, can be revealed in full today.
Richard Adam, Philip Nevill Green, Richard Howson and Alison Horner still have something to smile about after the outsourcing firm, which built roads and NHS hospitals, crashed last month leaving 930 out of work.
Former finance chief Mr Adam, 60, received bonuses of £215,000 in 2015 and £140,000 in 2016.
His Hertfordshire mansion is worth £3.1million.
Former chairman Mr Green, 64, has a £2.1million house in Reading.
He told a hearing of the Commons business committee, where the bonus figures were revealed: “Words cannot describe the depth of my despair.
“I’m devastated by the impact the collapse has had, on pensioners, on customers, on suppliers, on staff.”
Ex-chief executive Mr Howson, 49, was paid bonuses of £293,000 in 2015 and £245,000 in 2016.
He has a £1.2million family mansion in the Yorkshire Dales and a £1million Alpine ski chalet.
The ex-chairwoman of the firm’s remuneration committee, Ms Horner, 51 — Tesco’s HR boss — has a £1.1million family home in Derbyshire.
Carillion had a debt of almost £1billion and a huge pensions hole.
