THE owners of the house where human remains and Leah Croucher's belongings were found visited the property months after she vanished, it has been claimed.

Leah’s possessions were reportedly found by estate agents during a visit to the £500,000 four-bedroom house in Milton Keynes, Bucks.

The house is now at the centre of a murder probe after officers investigating the teen's disappearance discovered human remains.

One neighbour said the Kuwaiti homeowner returned to the property on Loxbeare Drive with pals in the summer Leah vanished.

The teen - then aged 19 - was last seen walking to work in nearby Buzzacott Lane in Furzton on February 15, 2019.

There is no suggestion the owners have any involvement in her disappearance.

A neighbour told The Sun: “It’s her holiday home so it has stood empty most of the time since 2019.

“But the owner did come for a month in August 2019 with her friends.

“She introduced herself to everyone and had brought sweets from Kuwait.

“She was so lovely and kept saying, ‘I’m so happy to be in my holiday home.’

“She said, ‘I’m so pleased to be here’.

“Obviously none of us had any idea the house was connected to Leah’s disappearance. No-one could have known.

“It had been empty before she arrived so it’s possible the body was hidden in there the whole time.”

It comes after it emerged that police stuck a leaflet through the door of the house and left without getting an answer.

Cops called at the property, which has stood empty for three years, as they carried out 4,000 house-to-house enquiries to try to find the missing teen, but never made it inside.

Thames Valley Police said: "There was no response at the property and, as such, leaflets would have been dropped through the letterbox."

Mystery into the case has deepened after it emerged a convicted paedophile who lived in the house was in jail when she vanished.

The man - who appeared on a national TV crime show - was locked up in 2017 for sexual offences against two teenagers over a two-year period.

Late last night, Leah’s parents John and Claire Croucher attended the scene and left flowers.

A heart-rending note attached to the bouquet said: “To our darling Leah, our darkest fears have come true.

“We only need to be apart a little longer now.

“We have so missed you for so long already.

“The future looks so bleak now we know we will never see you smile or hear your laughter again.

“We will cherish your memories forever. We love you, mum and dad.”

Flowers from her grandparents were also laid, as well as ones from locals in the community.

Leah vanished on February 15, 2019, on her way to work, just half a mile from where she had lived.

Her bag and personal belongings were reported to have been found inside the property.

It is understood investigators found a pile of tools when they began searching the property on Monday.

There were also unconfirmed reports the body might have been stuffed in a bag.

Police have continued to appeal for information on the case and said no arrests had been made.
