AN absent-minded dad who kept forgetting his Tesco Clubcard has had the QR code tattooed on his arm.
Dean Mayhew, 30, was sick of missing out on savings.
So the scaffolder, a dad of seven, spent four hours getting the card’s code inked on his forearm.
And after failing to get it to scan properly on a self-service till, he successfully used the tattoo with an assistant at his local Tesco Express.
He is now thinking of getting a Sainsbury’s Nectar card code done.
Dean, of Horsham, West Sussex, said: “Sometimes I’m not the cleverest of guys but my mates think it’s pretty genius. I’ve got seven kids and I’m in the supermarket all the time — probably three times a day.

“Every time I go in there, they ask if I’ve got my Clubcard or Nectar but I just always seem to forget it.
“Anything you can do with a normal Clubcard I can do with my arm. I think it looks pretty cool.”
Tattoo artist Dan Rossetter, 39, said: “I was anxious about how well it was likely to work as it’s an intricate code but Dean said it wasn’t the end of the world if it didn’t.
“There is the element of it being a genius idea but it’s not something I would have come up with.”
