I travelled to 321 Wetherspoon pubs with my wife… people think we’re weird but we absolutely love it
A BEER loving couple have visited a whopping 321 Wetherspoon pubs the length and breadth of Britain.
Phil and Julie Fox hit the milestone on Tuesday after they popped in for a cheeky pint at a 'Spoons in King's Lynn, Norfolk.
Phil, 74, from Rastrick, West Yorkshire, said visiting the 321st boozer was a "special day" because it "has a nice ring to it".
The father-of-five told : "We just enjoy bagging 'Spoons, visiting bits of England we've never been to."
Phil added how a love of geography, beer and value-for-money grub also drives him and Julie to seek out the next pub.
He visited his first 'Spoons in Richmond, North Yorkshire, in 2004, and hasn't looked back.

After all these years, the retired production worker said among his favourite Wetherspoons is The Admiral Collingwood in Ilfracombe, Devon.
It is named after Nelson's second-in-command at the battle of Trafalgar and features a rooftop garden bar where you can drink in a sea view.
But the beer-lover admits that one or two of the famous watering holes pubs have been a bit on the "rough" side.
One such boozer saw the Yorkshire couple have to "shout over women using the 'F' word".
But that has not put him and Julie off their mammoth quest one bit.
The Yorkshire couple are now planning on seeing off more pints at the chain's London venues in June.
But they are still a fair few bar bills away from stepping foot in all 861 Wetherspoons in Britain.
And he adds that while friends and family think the hobby is "strange", they're not complaining about the bargain meals they gobble up at 'Spoons.
Phil said: "When we go anywhere they love the fact that seven or eight of us, including grandchildren, can eat for less than £50."
Phil and Julie hope that one day their feat will be recognised by the company and get their faces in the Wetherspoons magazine.
