Chippy writes scathing reply to customer who whinged about queue as they left one-star TripAdvisor review
A CHIPPY has written a scathing reply to a customer who whinged about the queue in their one-star TripAdvisor review.
Owner Allan Aston told the reviewer - who went by 'Rick W' - that "spiteful people like you are not welcome" at Al's Plaice fish and chip shop in Winsford, Cheshire.
Rick W blasted the chippy as "pathetic" online, citing an unbearable 30 minute wait in the queue - claiming a server had "forgotten about him".
But Alan hit back, branding him a "nasty man" and saying he's "grateful he won't be coming in again", reports.
Alan wrote: "You down right nasty man. Are you so perfect in your job that you can criticise everyone?
"We are all human and yes the member of staff made a mistake but is there any need to stand in your oh-so-high castle top shouting to the world.
"For every one of you, there are a hundred that would disagree so I really do hope your statement makes you so happy in your perfect little world.
"I am actually grateful you won't be coming in again as spiteful people like you are not welcome."
Rick's review read: "[After] waiting nearly 30 mins, I noticed a customer who came in 15 mins after me being served with a fish. I challenged the server only to be told: 'She had forgotten about me'.
"Bearing in mind I'm six-foot tall, wearing an orange coat and stood in front of the serving area. To say I wasn't happy would be an understatement.
"I was then told I would have to wait a further period as the same server had not informed the fryer that more fish were required.
"I asked for my money back. No apology, just muttering from the bunch behind the counter. Pathetic.
"Needless to say I won't be buying from Al's Plaice again and I urge you not to either. Businesses like this, do not deserve your business."
