The young Brits partied into the wee hours of the morning - with photos showing pals dressed to the nines as they made the most of their freedom before hitting the books when uni starts.

With lectures set to begin in the coming days, freshers put on their glad rags and stepped out for a night of fun.

In Leeds, young women donned bright dresses and heels as they headed out while young lads posed for photos.

Some young men even dressed up in schoolgirl outfits as they let loose for the night.

One ambitious young woman even tried to do the limbo as she walked through the street.

She then pulled off an impressive hand stand for the camera.

Meanwhile, others were less limber but just as adventurous, pushing each other in trolleys to make their way through the town.

It's the last night of celebrations for the young students, who have been partying every night this week before university officially starts.

After freshers week kicked off Monday night, thousands poured into high streets across the country night on night.

The week of celebrations comes in contrast to last year when students were unable to enjoy a night out with Covid restrictions.

During the height of the pandemic, nightclubs were forced to close while restaurants were also shut or faced restrictions.

But the quiet streets were a thing of the past as students laughed and danced in the streets on Saturday.
