Girl, 8, who vanished from Sainsbury’s wearing Mickey Mouse Christmas jumper is found safe and well after urgent hunt

AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD girl who vanished from Sainsbury's wearing a Mickey and Minnie Mouse Christmas jumper has been found safe and well.

Katie Stewart disappeared from the supermarket in Pinhoe, Exeter, on Christmas Eve.

Devon and Cornwall Police launched an urgent hunt for the eight-year-old, who had last been seen wearing a Christmas jumper of Mickey and Minnie mouse, black jeans, black puma trainers.

They shared a photo of Katie smiling in front of the Christmas tree in a desperate bid to find her.

But in a further update, a spokesperson for the force told The Sun Online: "She was found safe and well in the local area this afternoon."
