Woman stabbed in Greggs during terrifying robbery as raider storms bakery
A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed as a Greggs was robbed overnight.
The woman was knifed in the leg at the bakery in Droylsden in Manchester last night.
Greater Manchester Police said a man had stormed into the property on Queens Walk and attacked the woman just after 5pm.
The victim was rushed to hospital but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
It is unclear if the woman was a customer or an employee.
Police were last night seen scouring the scene for clues.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Officers were called at 5pm on Thursday 3 December 2020 to a report of a robbery at a property on Queens Walk, Droylsden.
"Officers are in attendance and enquiries have established a man entered the property before stabbing a woman in the leg.
"She has since been taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening."
It was not stated if anything was taken in the robbery.
