WALES is banning off-licences and even supermarkets from selling booze after 10pm when the pubs shut under new coronavirus rules.
The country has built on Boris Johnson's drastic curfew for pubs and restaurants in a bid to curb cases.

As well as hospitality venues being forced to close at 10pm, shops will also not be able to sell alcohol after that time.
The new rules will come into force from 6pm on Thursday, Wales' First Minister Mark Drakeford announced.
He said: "Once again, we are facing rising cases of coronavirus infections in different parts of Wales and once again we are seeing people being admitted to our hospitals with serious illnesses because of this virus.
“In the weeks and months ahead of us, there is a very real possibility we could see coronavirus regain a foothold in our local communities, towns and cities. None of us wants to see that happen again.
“We need everyone to follow the rules and guidance and to take the steps to protect them and their loved ones. Together, we can keep Wales safe.”

Pubs, cafes, restaurants and casinos will all operate with a table service in Wales under the new measures.
And only six people are able to meet indoors and must be part of a single extended household.
Face coverings must be worn on public transport, in shops and in enclosed public spaces.
Six areas of south Wales - Caerphilly county borough, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, Newport and Blaenau Gwent - are in a local lockdown.

On Tuesday, Public Health Wales said a further 281 positive cases of Covid-19 were recorded - the highest daily figure since April 17.
It comes as Scotland banned family and friends from different households meeting up indoors from Wednesday.
Nicola Sturgeon said the new restrictions on indoor gatherings comes alongside 10pm curfews for pubs and restaurants, claiming Boris Johnson's new restrictions are "not sufficient" to halt the virus.
The PM has so far introduced curfews on pubs and stricter fines for the rule of six - but no further bans on separate households meeting up.
He tonight urged Brits to show "discipline, resolve, and the spirit of togetherness" to get Britain through the "difficult" winter months to come - or face a new national lockdown.

In a live TV address - only the third time he has spoken to the nation in a recorded broadcast during the pandemic - he reassured the public that there "are great days ahead" once the fight against covid is over.
And it was only by working together collectively would the current soaring rate of infections start to come down.
In a message of hope he said: "I am more certain than ever that this is a struggle that humanity will win, and we in this country will win."
