Driver filmed using her LAPTOP behind the wheel – and claims it’s ok because she was at a red light

A WOMAN was filmed apparently using her LAPTOP at the wheel – but when confronted by a cyclist the brazen driver said it was okay because she was at a red light.
Lewis Dediare captured the footage on Friday while cycling through busy rush hour traffic in London city centre.
The 49-year-old pulled up at a red light on Great Portland Street next to a black Audi and claims the woman driving the motor was balancing her Macbook laptop in her left hand while scrolling over the mouse pad with her right.
In the footage, the woman decides to confront Lewis, saying: "It's a red light. What I'm doing isn't anything to do with you. It's a red light, just carry on."
The pair then bicker at the traffic lights for around a minute, with Lewis asking: "Are you supposed to use a laptop while in command of a vehicle?"
But the woman then defends her actions again, replying: "It's a red light and I've got my car in park," before speeding off as soon as the light turns green.
Lewis, a keen cyclist and road safety campaigner known as Traffic Droid, said: "As soon as I pulled up next to the car I knew the driver was using a laptop because I could see the silver Apple logo lit up at the back.
"It was a really rainy day. I was just going home from work and I came to a stop and turned my head, and I didn't say anything to her initially but she went ballistic. I didn't want to argue with her.
"Her argument was that because she was at the traffic light she could use it, but that is far from the case. I want her to be sent to driving school.
"When the light turned green she was so angry that she sped off and almost clipped the motorcyclist in front of her. It was careless driving. She could have hit someone.
"I am definitely going to report her to the police. She needs to learn a lesson, which I think would be a good thing if she really does think it is ok to use a laptop at a red light."
Lewis plans to show the footage to the cops but has yet to do so.
