Mum’s horror after cops dug up two dead bodies in her garden ‘where flowers wouldn’t grow’
A MUM has revealed her horror over cops digging up two dead bodies in her back garden after flowers she planted wouldn’t grow.
Sue Bramley, 51, was horrified when detectives arrived at her door following a tip-off that murder victims were buried under her patio.
She had laid the slabs after plants and flowers failed miserably to flourish on the spot in Forest Town, Notts.
But when officers turned up searching for the corpses of previous owners Patricia and William Wycherley they unearthed a 3ft-deep grave.
Sue told the Mirror: “I went to pieces after seeing them taken away in body bags.
“I was so upset to think that those two poor old people had been buried in my garden for all that time.”
She added: “I watched in horrified fascination as their sniffer dogs focused on that particular patch of garden by the back door, where oddly we’d never been able to grow flowers or plants.
The Wycherley’s were killed by their daughter Susan Edwards, 56, and her husband Christopher, 57, in May 1998.

Mrs Edwards claimed she was provoked into shooting her 63-year-old mother after discovering she had blasted William, 85, to death while she was staying with them.
She said she confessed to Mr Edwards what had happened and he helped her bury the bodies in Mansfield, Notts.
They sold the elderly couple’s home, told neighbours the Wycherleys had gone travelling for health reasons and continued to collect their pensions to cover up the shootings.
A court heard how the debt-ridden Edwards raked in £245,000 during a callous 15-year deception by pretending the couple were still alive.
But they squandered the cash on movie memorabilia and were more than £160,000 in debt when police found the bodies – wrapped in bedding – and arrested them in October 2014.
The couple were sentenced to life with a minimum of 25 years at Nottingham Crown Court.

Despite the grisly history of her beloved home, Sue is adamant it does not put her off living there.
She said: ““The Wycherleys did us no harm and I’m not scared of living in this house, even though what happened to them was terrible.
“Obviously it was a massive shock when the police found their bodies under my patio but that hasn’t put me off staying here.”
