I was forced to quit teaching after students found my side hustle – I don’t care, I’ll do anything to provide for my son

A TEACHER has told how she started selling X-rated  pics online after her pay dropped - but was forced to quit the classroom when pupils and parents rumbled her sideline.

Kirsty Buchan, 33, joined adult website OnlyFans last week as she feared not being able to afford her bills in the run-up to Christmas.

The physics miss - who teaches at troubled Bannerman High School in Glasgow - claims her wages were cut because she had to take days off to look after her son, who fell ill back in March.

Kirsty says her pleas to work from home were rejected - and instead she ended up going off sick and on reduced money.

Now she’s posing nude online for punters who pay - but landed in hot water with bosses after parents and pupils became aware of her saucy extra job.

And the mum-of-one, from Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, quit teaching yesterday after the scandal came to light.

She said: “I’m losing money in the run-up to Christmas and with the price of everything going up I won’t be able to afford to live.

“I own my house and pay taxes so I am not entitled to any help.

“I am using a fake name for my account and  taking pictures and posing naked.

“Some people are being so judgemental but I am on an 18+ site and  if the kids get access to the content then that is down to the parents failing to protect their devices.”

Kirsty uses the name Jessica Jackrabbit on OnlyFans and charges around a tenner a month for access to her intimate content.

The physics graduate - who has taught for eight years - says she was left feeling worthless when her pleas to work from home were apparently snubbed.

And she has hit out at colleagues and parents who judge her new line of work.

Kirsty added: “Who are others to judge? It’s my story to tell. I will do anything to provide for my son. How many parents can say they can do that?

“I had a great relationship with the kids in my classes, they were always supported - but my son has to come first.

“Now people have asked me if I am being stupid but  I am not stupid, I have a physics degree and worked hard.

“I could go to my work and not be respected by my bosses -  or I can post pictures and make money to provide for my son. To me, that is using my brain.”

Bannerman teachers have been taking strike action after concerns were raised over violent and abusive behaviour by pupils.

Members of the NASUWT teachers’ union said that teachers at the school have been verbally abused and threatened by pupils.

A Glasgow City Council spokeswoman said: “This teacher was under investigation prior to tendering her resignation following the widespread distribution of wholly inappropriate and pornographic images.

“The council has a code of conduct that all employees should adhere to and a teacher who has actively pursued a second income on this type of website brings their school, the council and their profession into disrepute.

“We will be referring the details of our investigation to the General Teaching Council (GTC) and have responded to parental complaints made to the school.

Kirsty made claims about what staff in the trouble-hit school are facing.

Bannerman teachers have been taking strike action after concerns were raised over violent and abusive behaviour by pupils.

she claimed: "Teachers are sworn at and get physical and verbal abuse from the kids."

She claimed one teacher had a plastic bag put over her head and another had a pupil raise a chair to threaten them.

Kirsty hit out at school bosses claiming staff weren't being supported.

She claimed: "If you call for help in an emergency you can't get someone. I've had fights in my class and teachers on other floors have heard me screaming and ran to help.

"I''ve had to split up fights in the road and nearly been hit by buses. Teachers are being told to improve their teaching method and are sent home for refusing to teach.

"There are no consequences for bad behaviour."

Kirsty added: "There have been points I have freaking out and almost crying.

"I am not slating the kids, its the management, kids are kids.  Its a handful of kids that are causing the issues and the way these issues aren't being handled.

"Some of those kids were the reason I could keep going into work."

A Glasgow City Council spokesperson added: “It is very telling that this person has tried to deflect from this situation by taking advantage of current news stories about the school which has no relation to the disciplinary proceedings.”
