TRANSPORT Secretary Louise Haigh is likely to be sacked in Labour’s first reshuffle, senior government figures believe.

The PM was deeply “unhappy” with Ms Haigh after she encouraged Brits to boycott P&O Ferries - throwing a £1 billion port investment into peril.

She was also accused of “going rogue” by handing train drivers a massive 15 per cent pay rise in the summer.

One senior minister said: “If there was a reshuffle tomorrow I think she would be gone.

“No10 cares a lot about messaging, so when you get the messaging wrong you have messed up.

“She is at risk.”

Another senior figure said: “The PM was unhappy about P&O.”

Ms Haigh is also one of the Cabinet ministers who wrote to the PM to vent her concerns at planned spending cuts.

The PM has already sacked his old chief of staff - Sue Gray - after a choppy first 100 days in office.

Sir Keir's allies say is capable of being ruthless when he needs to.

But most expect him to wait until after the local elections in May next year to shuffle his top ranks.

Earlier this week, Sir Keir said he had "full confidence" in Ms Haigh.
