Chainsaw wielding Argentine leader told David Cameron he is desperate for the Rolling Stones to tour his country
ARGENTINA’S chainsaw wielding leader told David Cameron he is desperate for the Rolling Stones to tour his country.
President Javier Milei used high level talks with Britain’s Foreign Secretary earlier this week to reveal his dream to see the veteran rockers play.
Quoting The Rolling Stones classic, Lord Cameron replied: “You can’t always get what you want.
“But if you try sometimes, well, you might find you get what you need.”
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Milei and David Cameron chatted about The Rolling stones.
“Milei is a huge Rolling Stones fan and said he would love to see the band play Argentina.”
The pair met at Davos - the World Economic Forum held on the ski slopes of Switzerland
Milei is a political maverick.
He made headlines during the Argentine presidential campaign last year when he wielded a chainsaw to show he would slash the size of the state as he led crowds in chanting: “Viva la libertad, carajo!’ (Long live freedom, goddammit!).”
The Rolling Stones have played Buenos Aires before.
