NAZANIN Zaghari-Ratcliffe could be home within days as Iran finally handed back her British passport after six years holding her prisoner.
Her London MP revealed officials were in Tehran negotiating her release, while her lawyer told loved-ones to expect "good news".
The breakthrough raised hopes the mum will soon be reunited with devoted husband Richard and daughter Gabriella in Hampstead.
Boris Johnson last night said he did not want to "tempt fate" by celebrating too early and said it remained a "delicate" situation.
But he added: "Everybody wants Nazanin home, we have been working on that for a long, long time."
The aid worker, 44, was arrested at Tehran airport in 2016 and convicted of plotting to overthrow the government.

Labour MP Tulip Siddiq tweeted: "I am very pleased to say that Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has been given her British passport back.
"She is still at her family home in Tehran. I also understand that there is a British negotiating team in Tehran right now."
Ms Zaghari-Ratcliffe's mother-in-law, Barbara Ratcliffe, said the reports "sound really positive" but the family is "battle-scarred" from constant disappointments.
Husband Richard spent 21 days on hunger strike last year to highlight his wife's desperate plight.
Another dual-national Anoosheh Ashoori is also serving a four-year jail term in Tehran on spying charges, which he denies.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We have long called for the release of unfairly detained British nationals in Iran. We don’t comment on speculation."
