Foreign Office moggie in stand off with Larry at No10 as bid for power continues
Yesterday he snuck into Larry's Downing Street bunker - not today
THE Foreign Office moggie renewed his assault on No 10 this morning in yet another tense standoff with Downing Street tabby Larry.
Theresa May might have Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson tamed for the time, but her Chief Mouser Larry is having more difficulty with his Foreign Office counterpart this summer.
Yesterday Palmerston mounted a “coup d’ecat”, slipping past the Downing Street doorman to make it into Larry’s inner sanctum.
His raid only came to an end when the rescue cat was turfed out by a police officer.
But this morning Larry was lying in wait for Palmerston who tried to goad the tabby away from the No10 door.
The stand-off only came to an end when the younger Palmerston was lured away by Foreign Office staff.

Last week the vet had to be called in to treat Larry for a sore paw.
It is thought he suffered the injury to his front right leg during a fracas with Palmerston, but others have speculated it could have been the fox which frequents Downing Street.
