Labour plans to give all foreign nationals right to vote which could seal Remain vote in second referendum
LABOUR plans to give all foreign nationals the right to vote in an effort to attract millions of Remainers in case of a second Brexit referendum.
Jeremy Corbyn intends to allow anyone with residency rights in the UK to take part in a poll – regardless of what country they’re from.

Currently foreigners in Britain can only vote in local and European elections.
The explosive new policy will be debated at the Labour conference in Brighton today.
Delegates will also be told how party chiefs plan to “close all detention centres” and “scrap all Hostile Environment measures”, this would include any rules that restrict migrants’ access to the NHS, reports.
There are currently three million EU citizens living in Britain and Corbyn’s new plan could swing a vote in his favour if it came into power.
It could also mean millions of potential new Labour supporters that originally were unable to mark a ballot.
In a statement by Labour MPs it was described as “fundamentally wrong” that foreigners could not vote in UK elections.
Mr Corbyn, a life-long critic of the EU, faces renewed pressure from party members and even some of his top team to Remain.

The party will vote on whether Labour should be neutral before a new election, which is widely expected to come by the end of the year, or back staying in the EU.
Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell backed Mr Corbyn's approach of trying to win an election, to renegotiate a Brexit deal and then to hold a second referendum when lawmakers can campaign for whichever side they want.
He said: "We are working together as a party to make sure that people have a choice and that people will decide.

"That means having another referendum in which the people will be able to decide between a sensible option in terms of 'leave' and making sure they also have the option of 'remain'."
But Mr Corbyn has been criticised over what some describe as a "muddled" stance on Brexit, with some in his party saying the lack of clarity has driven away Labour supporters, lowering the likelihood of an election victory.
According to a new opinion poll on Monday, more than half of voters who backed Britain's opposition Labour Party at a 2017 election think it is now time for Corbyn to stand down, an opinion poll showed on Monday.

LABOUR has pledged to fund free personal care for elderly Brits – at a cost of £6billion-a-year.
The plan would more than double the number of people receiving state-funded support, the party said.
Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell will make the announcement during keynote speech at the Labour conference in Brighton.
He indicated that a pledge to reform the social security system, including scrapping Universal Credit, would be included in Labour's first Queen's Speech.
Mr McDonnell, a senior Jeremy Corbyn ally, said there has to be a proper social security "safety net".
He added: "That has to be on the basis of enabling people to have a decent quality of life with an adequate income.
"That has to mean getting rid of the bloody Universal Credit."
