DAVID Cameron has backed the Tory rebels who voted against Boris Johnson to block Brexit during a grilling on John Humphrys last ever Today show.
The former PM was put on the spot when Humphrys asked whether he would vote for the Tories if Boris took us out of the bloc without a Withdrawal Agreement.

In reply Mr Cameron, who led the Remain campaign in 2016, seemed to throw his weight behind those who pushed through the Benn law to take No Deal off the table.
He said: “I’m Conservative through and through but I think a No Deal outcome is a bad one, but Parliament has blocked that avenue.
“Boris’ choice is to get that deal and bring it back move on from there.”

Mr Cameron has previous spoken out in support of the 21 Tory rebels culled by Boris over their betrayal in the Commons.
Earlier this week he described their sacking as “disastrous” for the party.
Among those given the chop were former Chancellor Philip Hammond and grandson of Winston Churchill, Sir Nicholas Soames.
The former Witney MP said: “I obviously disagree with the idea of taking the whip from 21 moral hard-working, loyal, conservatives.
“If it isn’t reversed it would be disastrous, it will be I think a disastrous decision.
Humprhys is quitting Today after 32 years in the hotseat, having first started in 1987.
The veteran broadcaster is known for his combative interview style – leading some politicians to avoid the BBC Radio 4 show.

Boris Johnson has not been on Today since he became PM and Jeremy Corbyn has not been a guest in three years.
Humphrys admitted critics say "the problem with the Today programme interview, for instance... is that it's too confrontational, too argumentative... and (we) put ourselves on a pedestal..."
He added: "I don't think I'm the only target... I am a seeker of truth."
