Brits more worried about Jeremy Corbyn in power than No Deal Brexit, poll reveals

BRITS are more worried about Jeremy Corbyn becoming PM than a No Deal Brexit, a poll has revealed.

Nearly half of all voters would rather Britain left the EU without a Withdrawal Agreement than see the Labour Leader at No10.

The poll by Politico found 43 per cent of voters would favour crashing out of the bloc while 35 per cent would prefer Corbyn as PM.

But around a quarter of voters said both were equally bad options.

BACKING BORIS

Brits also suggested the Boris would be a better PM than Corbyn – with 40 per cent backing him to do the business at Downing Street and just 18 per cent putting their support behind the Labour boss.

Lib Dems voters also backed Bo-Jo with 40 per cent preferring him to Corbyn at No 10.

The poll comes as Boris plots to ram through an election through next week - after Corbyn squirmed out of a poll last night.

Johnson will make a rallying cry this afternoon, demanding the Labour boss face the people and let them decide how to get out of the Brexit mess.

In a speech in Yorkshire to mark what No10 consider the start of the election campaign, the PM will say that for Jeremy Corbyn to continue to avoid a vote would be a cowardly insult to democracy.

And he will argue that getting another extension would "overturn the biggest democratic vote in our history" - the 2016 referendum.

Corbyn continues not only to block Brexit but is now also stopping the people having their say by refusing a general election, he's expected to say.

He will set out the stark choice the country faces between Mr Corbyn and himself and say he's cowardly running away from letting the people choose Britain's path.

And Boris will point blank refuse to get another extension to Brexit - even if a new law forced him to do so.

The PM will lay out his plan for more cash for the NHS, police and schools.

The Government dropped their Opposition to the so-called 'Surrender Bill' in the Lords late last night, meaning it's set to pass and go through as law by Monday.
