Jeremy Corbyn’s top ally Len McCluskey tells Remainer rebels to give up trying to stop Brexit
HARD-LEFT Union boss Len McCluskey last night told Remainer rebels to finally accept “we lost the referendum” and give up trying to stop Brexit.
The firebrand savaged Tom Watson for suggesting a stop Brexit pact with the Lib Dems and said it is “almost impossible” to stop a No Deal on October 31.
And he urged Labour to commit to delivering Brexit if there is a snap general election before Britain’s departure on October 31.
He made his fiery intervention hours before his close pal Jeremy Corbyn revealed his plot to block a No Deal Brexit.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4, the Unite boss savaged his old flatmate turned arch nemesis Mr Watson for trying to stop Brexit.
He said: “We campaigned for remain and reform.
“Tom did, I did, my union did, Labour did. But unfortunately we lost.
“It’s an inconvenient truth to some people but we lost. We lost the referendum.
“And therefore, having lost the referendum, it is why Labour just a year later in 2017 adopted a manifesto that Tom Watson and other Remainers embraced.

“The platform they fought on is that we will take Britain out of the EU. They seem to have forgotten about all that.”
He said it would be “almost impossible” for MPs to block a No Deal Brexit on October 31 with Boris Johnson in power.
He added “I believe that if we haven’t left by 31 October we should respect the 2016 referendum, which means leaving Europe with a deal the 48 per cent will be happy with.”
