Boris Johnson set to pump £300m to No Deal Brexit plans to avoid chaos at Channel

BORIS Johnson is set to promise to spend £300million getting Britain's ports ready for a No Deal Brexit.

The new PM is set to plough extra cash into making sure the Channel is ready for us to leave without an exit deal on October 31.

Ministers will invite tenders to provide ferries and other freight capacity to guarantee supplies can cross over from France no matter what.

"It shows the EU that we’re serious about no deal, that we’re straining every sinew to be ready,” one minister told The Times.

"The capacity is there in the unlikely event that we need it."

Yesterday Boris confirmed in the Commons that whatever money was needed would be made available by the Treasury.

He's put his former enemy Michael Gove in charge of No Deal planning too, ordering him to work full-steam ahead towards it.

Boris has said he doesn't want to leave with No Deal and would prefer Britain gets an arrangement in place.

But if he can't, he will tear us out with nothing, he's promised.

Billions of pounds has already been spent on No Deal Brexit.

Boris will get Britain ready for Brexit with a public information campaign too, he's said in the past.

Yesterday his official spokesperson stressed that can't be done without re-opening the withdrawal deal and taking out the hated backstop.

Brussels leaders reacted with fury and insisted his demands were "unacceptable".

Boris has spoken to leaders Jean Claude Jucker, Emmunual Macron and Angela Merkel in the last 48 hours, but there's no plans for upoming four official chats about Brexit.
