DONALD Trump last night blamed the "brutal" EU for Britain's Brexit chaos - and warned Brussels it will backfire.
The US President claimed Europe has been too "tough" on the UK by refusing to change the Brexit deal.
He also hit out at European leaders' attitude to trade with America.
Mr Trump suggested the bloc's uncompromising attitude would end up rebounding on them.
The President tweeted late last night: "Too bad that the European Union is being so tough on the United Kingdom and Brexit.
"The E.U. is likewise a brutal trading partner with the United States, which will change.
"Sometimes in life you have to let people breathe before it all comes back to bite you!"
Last night the EU offered Theresa May a six-month delay to Brexit after she requested a delay lasting ten weeks.
