Angry Brexit campaigners reported the MP for Eddisbury to Tory party chair Brandon Lewis.
But Ms Sandbach replied: “Being part of Europe has been mainstream policy for the Conservative party for over 40 years.
“That we are a “broad church” and many of those marching yesterday were conservatives or former conservatives who we would like to encourage back.”
Earlier today the viral petition to revoke Article 50 had been signed by almost 5.5 million people.
