Top Eurocrat slams Corbyn’s Labour for playing politics and refusing to back May’s Brexit deal
JEREMY Corbyn has been slammed by a top Eurocrat today for failing to take responsibility for the Brexit impasse and compromise with Theresa May.
Manfred Weber, an ally of Angela Merkel, lashed out at the Labour boss and accused them of "tactical behaviour" and risking the future of the country.
Mr Manfred, who is one of the frontrunners to take over from Jean Claude Juncker as head of the European Commission, wrote on Twitter this morning: "Jeremy Corbyn and Labour should finally take responsibility for their country and support this compromise.
"Their purely tactical behaviour and electoral calculations are absolutely unacceptable," he blasted.
"This is the last chance to reach a reasonable agreement on Brexit."
And he said that a two month extension was the best offer the EU could make.
Labour has said it still won't support the deal today - even as it faces defeat today.
He's been pressing Theresa May to accept a permanent customs union with the UK - which would prevent us from being able to strike out with new trade deals on our own.
And it would keep us tied to EU rules forever too.
He's met with Mrs May to chat Brexit but has refused to help her get the deal over the line as he tries to keep the Remainers in his party happy.

Mrs May faces a day of crisis today as MPs vote for the second time on her Brexit deal.
But it's likely not to pass as MPs said it wasn't enough to sway them over.
And the Attorney General's legal advice was seen as another blow to her hard-won concessions in Strasbourg last night.
He said that although the "risk had been reduced" that the EU will be able to keep us trapped us in the backstop due to bad faith, but said his advice was "unchanged" that we could still end up there if talks broke down.
Grumbling MPs are debating whether to back the deal today, or face a delay to Brexit which could keep us in altogether.
