John McDonnell warned rebel Labour MPs not to support PM’s Brexit deal
The Shadow Chancellor said Theresa May's package does not give 'the sort of dynamic protection' Labour wants
SHADOW Chancellor John McDonnell has warned rebel Labour MPs not to back Theresa May’s Brexit deal next week.
The new order comes as tensions rise again ahead the next Commons showdown vote on Thursday.
A total of 25 Labour MPs ignored the party’s three line whip to keep the PM’s deal alive 10 days ago.
More pro-Brexit opposition MPs are expected to join their ranks after the Government said it will back a new package of workers rights and Mr Corbyn turned a blind eye not to punish any of them.
But Jeremy Corbyn’s right had man Mr McDonnell said: “We’ve had a look at the package she is offering.
“It doesn’t give the sort of dynamic protection we want”.
Mr McDonnell also said the PM will have to accept his leader’s new soft Brexit proposals were the only way of getting any deal through Parliament with a “secure” majority.

But the likelihood of a formal Labour split deepened after a senior party moderate warned his “patience is wearing pretty thin” with the party’s Brexit policy.
Ex-shadow cabinet minister Chris Leslie told BBC Radio 4’s World At One: “I’ve got some serious worries about where the leadership are going”.
He also accused Corbyn of “airbrushing” out the possibility of a second referendum, which Labour members adopted as a policy less than six months ago.
