A DERBY man was cheered by a Question Time audience last night for saying that the Brexit was ONCE in a lifetime.

The man, who was plucked out of the audience to contribute to the political debate got a rapturous backing from others in the room when he said: "They knew what they were voting for."

He told Tory Rory Stewart and Labour's Diane Abbott: "Everyone is going on about a second referendum.

"David Cameron said it was a once in a lifetime referendum."

He added that the public WERE informed about leaving the single market and customs union because "there was a leaflet posted through every single door in England".

"When he says they are ignorant, they are not ignorant," he stressed.

"They knew what they were voting for. We voted to leave on March 29."

And Leaver Isabel Oakeshott got one of the loudest cheers of the night when she said the time had now come for us to leave with No Deal at all.

"It seems to be the only option for Theresa May now, and it is a sub optimal, is to walk away."

Question Time host Fiona Bruce said: "That was a massive cheer there!"

A poll of Sun readers last night showed they would vote Leave again if there was a second vote - but they don't want one.

Almost half of those quizzed want a No Deal Brexit too.

More than 61 per cent said there should "definitely not" be another vote - and just 11 per cent said there "definitely should be" one.

After Mrs May's deal was thrown out by MPs earlier this week, campaigners have ramped up their calls for another vote to try and keep us in the EU.

Remainer Tories yesterday launched their fresh push for another referendum, arguing that it's the only way to end the deadlock.

But No10 said last night it would take a least a year - as civil servants drew up their own plans for one.

And so-called People's Vote backers are pressuring Jeremy Corbyn into getting behind another vote too - although so far he's refusing their calls.

THE SUN SAYS

NOTHING shocks London’s Remainiac politicians and journalists more than a sudden encounter with ordinary people.

To discover they still want to leave the EU is traumatic enough. That many want to leave without a deal boggles their minds and induces fainting and nausea.

So it was on Thursday as they all watched TV’s Question Time, that traditional safe space for left-wing, Government-bashing Remainerism.

The audience in Derby hollered approval at the idea we should simply walk away on March 29. That if no deal can be found, then that is at least the Brexit a majority voted for in 2016.

One Europhile writer found it “staggering, terrifying”. Which, funnily enough, is how voters view a political and media elite so wedded to a comfortable status quo that they are completely disconnected from anyone outside the bubble.

The Sun would prefer a deal. We just cannot support the fatal flaws in Theresa May’s. But millions, not just Leavers now, ARE ready to brave No Deal because they know that democracy must deliver what the majority voted for.

And if the Remainer elite are shocked by a few dozen Leavers on TV they had better prepare themselves.

If Brexit doesn’t happen, if Article 50 is revoked and if Britain is forced to vote again, the roar of rage will deafen them.
