No Deal Brexit could BREAK UP the UK, Theresa May warned by her own ministers
Cabinet ministers warned the PM that Ireland reunifying and Scotland breaking away from the UK would be far more likely with no agreement reached
A NO Deal Brexit could lead to the break up of the United Kingdom, Theresa May's ministers have warned her.
Multiple members of the Cabinet issued the stark warning on Tuesday at a gathering of her top team.
Northern Ireland Secretary Karen Bradley said that the reunification of Ireland - via a border poll - was much more likely if we left without a deal,
She said it would be among the worst affected parts of the country if we didn't have anything in place when we left.
Hundreds of businesses are reliant on smooth trade between the North and the South of Ireland, and any border that was put up could cause major problems for them.
EU bosses have said they won't erect one, but extra checks could be needed.
And Scottish Secretary David Mundell warned in the same meeting that a No Deal Brexit could make it even more likely that Nicola Sturgeon will push for another referendum in that event.
He also said that if there was a second Brexit vote she would likely push for another indy ref too.
One Cabinet source told the website: "The view was that a border poll in Northern Ireland was all-but inevitable if there is a no-deal Brexit because Sinn Fein would demand it straight away.
"The Secretary of State would have no choice but to call one."
The British government will only authorise a poll if there's significant support for it.

Remainer Cabinet ministers have made it clear they won't support a No Deal Brexit this week - or they will quit the Government.
Amber Rudd and Greg Clark are understood to be among several ministers who won't back the PM if she allows No Deal to go through.
This week MPs showed their strength too by binding Mrs May's hands to restrict tax powers in the event of no agreement.
They gave the PM one of two humiliating defeats in just 24 hours, and vowed to do all they can to stop us leaving on World Trade Organisation terms.
But earlier today ex-MI6 boss Sir Richard Dearlove advocated just that, and said Mrs May's deal would damage our security.
