Theresa May is tricking Britain over Brexit ‘surrender’ as she pretends to talk tough, Boris Johnson blasts

BORIS Johnson today accused Theresa May of deliberately delaying Brexit talks - and warned she is set to "surrender" to Brussels.

The top Brexiteer told the PM "no one is fooled" by the last-minute drama in his latest blast.

The ex-Foreign Secretary called on Mrs May to ditch her Brexit plans and go for a "SuperCanada" deal instead.

The PM's officials are locked in talks with Brussels, aiming to thrash out a deal by tomorrow night.

But Boris claimed the deadlock was manufactured to make it seem as if Mrs May is pushing a tough line in negotiations.

He tweeted today: "No one is fooled by this theatre. Delay after staged managed delay.

"A deal will be reached and it will mean surrender by the UK. We will be doomed to remain in the customs union and under Brussels’ regulatory control.

"People did not vote for colony status.";

Mr Johnson added: "We still have time to go for something better - a SuperCanada free trade deal that will allow the UK to benefit from brexit and actually respect the referendum.

"The future can be bright if only we change course now."

Mr Johnson quit the Cabinet over Mrs May's Chequers plans, saying they would keep Britain following EU rules permanently.
