Brexit news: Latest updates at 7am from the past 12 hours
HERE is your daily briefing on all the Brexit and General Election news from the past 12 hours.
YESTERDAY, Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn was at the centre of the Brexit beef, with Brussels scolding his Brexit plan as "delusional."
Jezza's plan 'won't work'
The Sun exclusively revealed how Corbyn suffered a major blow as Brussels blasted his “delusional” plan to renegotiate Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal.
They also slammed Jezza's expectation to secure a say over EU trade talks.
EU officials said rewriting the PM’s deal to “adopt a UK mandate with higher ambition” would be “easy” to achieve within three months.
However, one EU source warned: “Less straightforward is what the UK may ask on EU trade policy. The first thing would be a UK request for an extension, with a justification for that.”
Another added that Mr Corbyn’s strategy was “not credible” and "delusional."
Rid the remainers, says PM
Boris Johnson is planning to kick off the election by urging voters to dump Remainer MPs getting in the way of Brexit.
In a speech outside No10, he will tomorrow say the vote is an opportunity to "change the dismal pattern of the last three years — and get out of our rut."
The PM will tell potential voters they either have a choice to get Brexit done or face Corbyn's “toxic plan to waste 2020” with a second referendum.
Today the Labour leader made his own promise to get Brexit sorted within six months of winning power.
Remainer Philip Hammond quits
Philip Hammond today quit as an MP just three weeks after helping to push Boris Johnson's Brexit deal
The former chancellor said today he will leave the Commons after 22 years, due to the upcoming election adding that it was with "great sadness" that he felt he should quit.
The Sun previously revealed how he was banned from rejoining the Tory group in Parliament.
In his letter to constituents he said he felt forced to stand down because he is unable to stand against another Tory or would face being kicked out of the party altogether.
