THE Brexit Party today begged Boris Johnson to do an electoral deal with them.

Party chairman Richard Tice insisted they could deliver the PM a “thumping majority” if they did a deal.

LET'S DO A DEAL

He said the party’s candidates would be ordered to step aside in Tory seats if Boris promises to go for a “clean” No Deal Brexit.

Mr Tice told the BBC: “It is quite clear that a Leave alliance will deliver what this country needs, which is a thumping majority to get a proper Brexit.”

Nigel Farage’s party first made an offer to the Tories for a Leave Alliance back in September.

But Conservative figures have dismissed doing a deal, insisting they can storm to a victory in the polls alone.

And in a huge blow for the Brexit Party’s hopes for an electoral pact, Tory MP Steve Baker ditched his call for one.

PACT 'WON'T HAPPEN'

The boss of the Brexit-backing ERG group told the HuffPost website: “A pre-Brexit pact with the Brexit Party won’t happen all the time Nigel Farage insists the Conservatives pursue no deal, which won’t happen.

“Boris will have to win without any arrangement.”

Mr Farage has lashed Bojo’s Brexit deal, branding it “appalling”.

However, he did not rule out the prospect of brokering an election deal at the 11th hour.

Mr Farage told : “I just don’t know but I think if he [Mr Johnson] is going to fight the general election on the basis of that treaty then I think as a Leaver it is very difficult.’

He added: ‘We will see what happens. I am not ruling anything in, not ruling anything out.

'But it would appear he wants to fight the election on the basis of that treaty which I just don’t think is Brexit. But that may change.’
