Global Climate Strike London September 2019 – where are protests happening?

THE GLOBAL Climate Strike marked the beginning of worldwide protests on September 20.
The strikes intend to "disrupt business as usual" off the back of global Fridays For Future school strikes, started by prolific climate change activist and eco-poster girl, Greta Thunberg.
Is there Global Climate Strike action in London?
According to Fridays For Future, there are 128 strikes happening across the UK today.
In London, the main one will take place in Millbank, Central London.
There are also protests taking place in Croydon and Orpington, Bromley, in South London, Kingston and Mayfair.

Where else are protests happening?
Climate strikes are taking place all over the world, from Auckland in New Zealand to Buenos Aires in Argentina and Stornoway in Scotland.
NZ led the way, with reports of 170,000 taking to the street for the final day of protests on September 27, 2o19.
Greta Thunberg has been at the forefront of the week long action and is joining protests in Canada on September 27.

According to the , the strikes mean: "People everywhere walking out of their homes, their offices, their farms, their factories.
"Everyone is needed to disrupt business as usual: from sports stars, actors and teachers to food industry workers, psychologists, delivery drivers and everything in between."
People from over 150 countries have organised to strike throughout September 2019.
Their website goes on to claim: "These Climate Strikes won’t solve the climate crisis alone.
