TROPICAL Storm Humberto's winds has whipped into Bermuda on its path to the UK, where it will bring torrential rain and fierce winds for 10 DAYS.

Humberto is now in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and its remnants will hit the UK this week.

Where is Hurricane Humberto now?

Nasa said that satellite data has "confirmed that Humberto, once a major hurricane, is now a post-tropical cyclone".

The space agency's Terra Satellite snapped an image of Humberto as it "continued moving in an easterly direction through the North Atlantic Ocean".

It said that its image "indicated Humberto was still producing an area of strong thunderstorms" as of September 19.

"Humberto is expected to be a large and powerful extratropical cyclone for a couple of days before it is absorbed by another extratropical low-pressure area over the North Atlantic Ocean," Nasa added .

Is Hurricane Humberto heading to the UK?

The Met Office has issued the yellow weather warning for rain for Tuesday, for an area which stretches from London and the South East to the South West, southern Wales and Herefordshire.

It is set to last throughout Tuesday until 3pm.

Met Office meterologist Luke Miall said: "We could see 20mm to 40 mm of rain within nine hours and possibly the worst case scenario is of 70mm in some spots."

He added that "there is the possibility of the odd rumble of thunder" in some areas on Tuesday in contrast to recent dry days and sunshine.

Travellers, particularly on Tuesday morning, should brace themselves for disruption.

Bus and train journeys could take longer, and there could be flooding on roads, into homes and businesses.

The weather warning says: "Spells of rain and heavy showers are expected to affect southern parts of England and Wales during Tuesday.

The heaviest rainfall is likely to be during the morning.

The Met Office warns on its website that there could be power cuts, and "loss of other services to some homes and businesses".

"Around 20mm to 40mm of rain is expected to fall quite widely, with the potential for up to 70mm in a few locations.

";Much of the rain will fall in a relatively short space of time, typically less than six hours."

The Met Office warned that Brits are in the last few days of an Indian summer weather before thunderstorms and a cold front descends this week.

The storm is currently in the Atlantic and the Met Office has said the storm's current path will bring misery to the UK.

Brits have been enjoying the last of the summer sunshine with temperatures remaining in the 20s, but this week will be more unsettled.

A Met Office spokesman told The Sun Online: "With the hurricane it will become more modified by the time it reaches us.

“We are in for a wet wrath of it when it arrives.

“The West and South West will get the brunt of it. There will be clouds and a lot of rain before it will then spread to most parts of the UK like Northern Ireland and Scotland."

Temperatures will drop closer to average for the time of year with chilly nights making it feel more seasonal, she added.

The remains of Hurricane Humberto, currently churning the Atlantic off the east coast of America, will help drive the transition, forecasters warn.

A spokesman for The Weather Company said that this week's unsettled conditions were linked to the remnants of Hurricane Humberto.
