Dog the Bounty Hunter ‘is on the mend’ and recovering at home after ‘heart attack’ hospital dash, his daughter reveals
DOG The Bounty Hunter is back "on the mend" and recovering at home after reportedly suffering a heart attack, his daughter Lyssa Chapman has revealed.
Duane Chapman, 66, has been urged by family members to make serious lifestyle changes in a bid to avoid other health issues in the future.

The TV star's daughter took to Instagram to update fans on her dad's well-being after he was released from hospital on Monday.
She wrote: "Dad is on the mend so I got to run out for a fun hike today.
"I forgot my shoes in Hawaii so I wore of pair of [Beth Chapman's] up. She would have loved this #HikeColorado #theincline #manitousprings #missingbae."
'ON THE MEND'
Sources told that Dog is a heavy smoker but will now look to cut back on the amount of cigarettes he smokes.
However the TV star is not looking to quit smoking, it is alleged.
He is also said to regularly eat a lot of junk food, and the source claimed his family are trying to get him to alter his day-to-day diet plan.
TMZ reported that Dog's chest pains are related to stress and high blood pressure, which he hopes to combat with a healthy diet.
An angiogram was performed and it came back as normal, the source claimed.
He was hospitalised over the weekend due to a heart emergency, but was released on Monday night, according to TMZ.
His team said in a statement: "Dog is back at home and resting comfortably. He is overwhelmed by the support of fans and friends from around the world, and is deeply touched by the outpouring of prayers, love, and encouragement.
"While he is following doctor's orders and taking time to heal, he wants everyone to follow DOG'S ORDERS and watch Dog's Most Wanted Wednesday night on WGN America."
Medics were monitoring the star and were assessing whether he will need surgery.
'STRESSED' SINCE WIFE'S DEATH
The bounty hunter recently told Page Six that he's dropped 17lbs since her death as his diet hasn't been regular due to stress.
He said: "For three days I've been eating again. But Beth always said: 'I like your little tummy, big daddy.' No you don't! I dropped two sizes in pants.
"I'm a little faster now because weight slows you down. I think I'm actually a little healthier now. I want to maintain this weight, maybe a little bit more, but it's helped my health. I can feel it.
"Feelings are really strange. I don't want to eat something until I'm really hungry because I want to feel something."
The stricken celeb was crushed by the death of his wife this summer, aged just 51, and recently admitted his life has fallen apart since.
Beth died in June of this year after an 18-month battle with throat cancer.
'WE WEREN'T PREPARED'
Duane opened up about his heartbreak on US TV show People Now last month.
He told of how the couple's children were coping with the loss, and said he feared the family "will fall apart".
Shattered Duane said: "Each one copes differently, there is a few that really barely making it.
"We don’t know what to do. We haven’t read, we weren’t prepared.
"I lost my mother first, and when my mum passed away, I’m like, 'I wish dad would have died first, you know, cause I love my mommy.'
"So I went to them and said, 'I’m so sorry that I didn’t die first and mum did.' And they were like, ‘Yeah dad, why?'
"So I was like, ‘Oh my god, I know what that feels like, I should’ve been the one. The guy goes first.’
"So that’s hard for them."
INTERNET SCAM
Amid his troubles, Duane was also recently targeted in a scam that eyes up wealthy celebs.
The scam began when the 66-year-old’s literary agent, Alan Nevis, received an email claiming to be from the office of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the deputy PM of the UAE.
In the message Sheikh Mansour, who also owns Premier League champions Man City, appeared to be offering Dog £400,000 to give a speech at an convention for small business owners on August 31.
However, they were quick to sniff out the event was bogus and in what cops have described as a new version of the “Nigerian Prince” email of the early 2000s.
Last month, thugs ransacked Duane's store in Colorado and made off with “thousands of dollars” and hunting gear which belonged to his beloved wife.
Dog posted about the break-in on Twitter and offered a “cash reward” for information relating to the robbery.

Beth was diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in November 2017.
Despite having a successful surgery, doctors told her the cancer had returned and she started chemotherapy in December last year.
