Who is Samantha Cameron?

Samantha Cameron is the wife of former Prime Minister and Conservative Party leader David Cameron.

She was born April 18, 1971, in London, England.

Cameron was in office for six years, but after the country voted to leave the EU in 2016, he gave up his position at No10.

Samantha, formally Samantha Sheffield, is the daughter of Sir Reginald Sheffield, 8th Baronet, and Annabel Jones, Viscountess Astor.

She grew up on a 300-acre estate in north Lincolnshire with her family.

Samantha has her own share of notable ancestors - as her great-grandfather, Sir Berkeley Sheffield, was an Eton-educated Tory MP in the early 20th century.

Her family also own a large estate in Yorkshire, fitted with priceless interiors designed by royal architect Henry Flitcroft in the 1720s.

At the age of 25, she married David in June 1996 and had four children with him, on top of being a successful businesswoman in her own right.

David reportedly has a net worth of £50million, and published his memoir, titled For The Record, on September 19, 2019.

Within the memoir, her husband covered his time in power and the Brexit referendum, as well as family life and the grief of losing their first child in 2009.

Where did she go to school?

Samantha sat her A-Levels in the prestigious independent school Marlborough College in Wiltshire, England.

After taking a year to complete an Art Foundation course at Camberwell College of Arts, London, Samantha went on to study Fine Art at the University of the West of England.

Who are Samantha and David Cameron's children?

Samantha and David got married in 1996 in Oxfordshire - five years before he was elected as a Member of Parliament.

The Camerons had four children together: Nancy Gwen Beatrice, Arthur Elwen, Florence Rose Endellion, and their firstborn, Ivan Reginald Ian Cameron, who died in 2009 at the age of six.

Ivan was born on April 8, 2002, with a rare combination of cerebral palsy and severe epilepsy and sadly passed away a year before David took the position of Prime Minister in 2010.

Nancy was born on January 19, 2004, Arthur on February 14, 2006, and Florence on August 24, 2010.

Florence was born prematurely whilst the Cameron's were in Cornwall.
