Boy, 15, is latest victim of London’s knife epidemic as he dies in hospital after being stabbed in Tottenham

A 15-year-old boy has become London's latest knife crime victim when he died yesterday following a broad daylight attack on Friday.

Perry Jordan Brammer, from Tottenham, died in hospital after being found with multiple stab wounds in Haringey.

Perry is the 20th teenager to be murdered in London this year, 18 of whom have been fatally stabbed - 18 teenagers were stabbed to death in the capital in the whole of 2018.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, leading the investigation, said: “This attack happened in broad daylight and we believe there are people out there who know what happened.

“This was a sustained attack which has led to a boy aged just 15 losing his life.

“We are determined to find the individual responsible for this murder and we believe he fled the scene on a yellow bicycle which was later found abandoned nearby in an alleyway.

“We would urge anyone with dashcam footage which may show the attacker or the incident itself to come forward.”

The teen's family are aware and a post-mortem examination is set for next week.

Homicide detectives are probing the murder and have urged the public to help.

Three men, aged 20, 24 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Friday evening, as well as a 21-year old man in the early hours of Saturday.

All four have been released with no further action being taken.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting 2902/30AUG or Tweet @MetCC or call the incident room on 0208 358 0100. Alternatively contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The death is the latest in a series of violent deaths on London's streets this year.

Shocking figures revealed knife crime in England and Wales has soared to a record high, with 43,000 offences last year.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has pledged 20,000 new police officers across England and Wales over the next three years.

He has also promised to extended police stop and search powers to tackle the growing knife crime menace.
