Grime was captain of the winning Military Team on the TV cookery show’s Crème de la Crème professionals special in 2017.

He led his team to victory in the second series with a dazzling military themed show stopper.

The source said: “Liam is known for creating intricate, sugar-filled treats. But aside from being a dab hand with eggs and flour, he’s also rumoured to be partial to a bit of Colombian marching powder.

“There is zero tolerance for drugs in the Armed Forces. It’s a shame to see such a talent wasted.”

Spin off show, Bake off: Crème de la Crème was later re-branded Bake Off: The Professionals, and features professional pastry chefs vying to win the crown.

During the epic eight-hour finale in 2017, the chefs were tasked with producing eight different desserts and a sculpted centrepiece around a theme of their choice.
