Bella Thorne, 21, directs Pornhub movie inspired by ‘Romeo and Juliet’ as ex Disney star is latest celeb to make X-rated flick
FORMER Disney child star Bella Thorne has partnered with PornHub to direct an X-rated flick inspired by Romeo and Juliet.
The Florida-born actress shot the film, titled Her & Him, as part of the website's Visionaries Director's Series.
It tells the story of two star-crossed lovers, played by adult actors Abella Danger and Small Hands, described as a reckless and dangerous affair that “transcends time and space”.
The film will be released on PornHub after debut screenings at the Odenburg Film Festival in Germany between September 11 and 15.
Thorne began her career as a child model and actress, rising to prominence after landing a role in Disney Channel series Shake It Up.
She went on to star in TV series Dirty Sexy Money and films including Amityville and Midnight Sun.
She said Her & Him was a “beautiful, ethereal film” that explored "this relationship between a male and a female and this fight over dominance".
On the differences between making normal and adult films, Thorne said: "The process of shooting was quite interesting because we had real-life f***ing on set which I had never shot before at all.
"It is quite a fun environment."
She added that she hoped the public would be open-minded about the flick.
“If you think that porn is uncomfortable, I’m sorry thatyou are uncomfortable, but don’t make other people feel uncomfortable for being OK with it," she said.
In June, Thorne released nude images of herself after a hacker stole them and threatened her with extortion.
PornHub vice president Corey Price praised Thorne's “creativity and imagination” in directing the film.
The site's Visionaries Director's Series has already seen contributions from rapper Young M.A. and singer-rapper Brooke Candy.
