Jailed Lostprophets star Ian Watkins receives ‘hundreds and hundreds of love letters from female fans’
JAILED rock star Ian Watkins is bombarded with love letters from his adoring female fans, a court has heard.
The ex-Lostprophets frontman, 42, allegedly "receives a lot of mail" from love-struck women, according to a prison governor.
Watkins is currently on trial for hiding a mobile phone up his BUM.
Jurors heard how the musician - serving a lengthy sentence at HMP Wakefield, West Yorks - reached into his pants and gave up the 3in white GTStar mobile amid fears his mum's jail visit would be cancelled.
Governor Tom Wheatley was asked by Watkins's barrister Gareth Burrows: "It's right to say that he's received a lot of mail, and continues to do so, from females?"
Mr Wheatley said he was not aware of the quantity but when asked whether it was "hundreds and hundreds of pages of letters", said: "That would sound reasonable."
